The Israeli military said on Sunday that it had fired at what it called Hezbollah targets in the Dahiyeh neighborhood of Beirut in response to Hezbollah's firing of three projectiles towards communities in northern Israel.

Lebanon's civil defense said the Israeli attack on Sunday killed three people.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Sunday strongly condemned Israeli strikes earlier in the day on Beirut, Lebanon's capital. "This conflict is having a devastating impact on the world's economy," he added.

Trump criticized Israel's latest strike on Lebanon that could complicate attempts to finalize a framework deal between the United States and Iran on ending their war. But later on Sunday, the US and Iran both said they had reached a deal and will officially sign a memorandum of understanding on June 19.

Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon continued as well.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed on Sunday that it had killed senior Hezbollah commander Ali Musa Daqduq in an air strike south of the Litani River in southern Lebanon over the weekend.
