China launched eight new satellites from the Dongfeng commercial space innovation pilot zone in northwest China on Monday.

A Lijian-1 (also known as Kinetica-1) Y14 rocket blasted off at 11:44 a.m. with the satellites, including the high-resolution optical remote sensing satellite Jixing Gaofen 07C04, and successfully sent them into the planned orbit.

The launch marks the 14th flight of the Lijian-1 rocket series.
