With the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival around the corner, enthusiasts from around the world gathered in Salford, Greater Manchester, on Saturday to celebrate the festival by racing and presenting traditional Chinese culture.
This year, the event welcomed two teams from south China's Guangzhou, where the dragon boat race has been highly valued and remained popular since the ancient days. They competed alongside 50 local British teams in the races.
The event has been held in Greater Manchester for over a decade and has played an important role in fostering friendship and cultural understanding between China and the UK.
