Iran team arrives in the US for World Cup opener as peace deal draws attention

Iran's football team arrived in the United States for the first time at this World Cup on June 14, landing at Los Angeles International Airport and holding a press conference on the same day that a peace deal between the two countries was announced.

The Iran squad arrived after a short flight from Tijuana, Mexico, where it had been based, receiving a rousing sendoff ahead of its opening game against New Zealand at Los Angeles Stadium on June 15. CMG reporter Liu Xiaoqian brings us this report from Los Angeles.
