The Fenglai Daxi River Bridge, the world's longest-span steel arch bridge, has achieved a major construction milestone with the successful closure of its steel-concrete girder. With a main span of 580 meters, the mega bridge crosses steep river valleys and overcomes extremely difficult construction conditions. Once completed, the new expressway will significantly reduce travel times, improve regional transportation links and promote economic integration and high-quality development in southwest China.
