A new China-Europe railway route was launched on June 15, with the first freight train carrying 55 containers of household appliances worth about $2.1 million departing Shuanghe City in China's Xinjiang for Moscow, Russia. Located near the Alataw Pass port, the Shuanghe railway line has been officially designated as a China-Europe departure point, expanding the logistics corridor connecting Central Asia, Russia and Europe. The weekly service reinforces the resilience of Belt and Road freight amid shifting global supply chains.
