Newborn blue sheep practice walking on cliff in north China's Inner Mongolia

It's breeding season for blue sheep. On Gander Mountain in Wuhai, north China's Inner Mongolia, herds of blue sheep have been seen roaming, feeding and playing with their newborns. Though only recently born, the young animals can already walk along steep cliffs, following their mothers as they practice climbing and jumping. Local desertification control efforts have helped increase vegetation cover on the mountain, creating better conditions for wildlife. The number of blue sheep on the mountain has increased to more than 100.
