One person was killed and eight others injured as of 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday after a magnitude-6.3 earthquake struck Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in northwest China's Qinghai Province. The People's Armed Police officers immediately activated its emergency response plan and swiftly deployed five rescue teams and communications support personnel.
