After Iran's 2-2 draw with New Zealand in Los Angeles on Monday, captain Mehdi Taremi said he simply wants peace and believes football should unite people. 

He said the tensions surrounding Iran's World Cup campaign have undermined the joy and message of the tournament, stressing that FIFA's mission is to bring people together through sport.
