Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has met with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk in Beijing. King Sihamoni and Queen Mother Monineath are in China for health exams. Wang Yi conveyed greetings from President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan. He added that this year marks 70 years since the first visit to China made by King Father of Cambodia Norodom Sihanouk. He noted that over the past seven decades, China and Cambodia have always treated each other with sincerity and friendship, setting a model for state-to-state relations. Sihamoni and Monineath expressed their gratitude to China for its assistance to Cambodia's economic and social development over the years. They said Cambodia highly values its traditional friendship with China, and Cambodia will always be China's best friend.
