The first session of high-level talks under the recently signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the US and Iran has concluded in Burgenstock, Switzerland, according to a joint statement issued on Monday by mediators Pakistan and Qatar.
Technical talks will continue throughout the week at the Burgenstock resort, while a high-level committee is set to be established to oversee the mediation process and advance a road map toward a final deal within 60 days.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said restrictions on Iran's oil and petrochemical exports had been lifted and some frozen Iranian assets released following the talks.
The White House has yet to comment publicly on the claims or provide details of the negotiations.
