Editor's Note: As global power becomes more diffuse and economic growth shifts toward emerging economies, the G7 faces growing questions about its role and relevance. Can the G7 still shape the global agenda in an increasingly multipolar world? Are its members united by a common vision, or simply managing their differences? In this edition of The Hub, Wang Guan is joined by Tom Ramage, fellow and economic policy analyst at the Korea Economic Institute of America; Atul Dalakoti, founder of the BRICS Centre for Economic and Cultural Research and Services; and Wang Xinsong, associate professor at the School of Government, Beijing Normal University. They discuss the key outcomes of the 2026 G7 Summit in France and examine whether the group's greatest challenge today is solving global problems or preserving internal cohesion.
