Gunfire erupted in New York City's Times Square on June 18, sending crowds running through one of the city's busiest tourist areas. Police said officers responded to reports of a shooting near West 44th Street and Seventh Avenue at around 3:30 p.m. local time, arrested a suspect and recovered a firearm. The NYPD said the investigation is ongoing.
