After Cape Verde's historic goalless draw against Spain at the FIFA World Cup, veteran goalkeeper Vozinha moved fans around the world when he revealed that his mother could not attend due to financial and visa challenges. Now, Vozinha's mother has been granted a visa to enter the United States in time for her 40-year-old son's next match.

On her departure, Vozinha's mother, Ana Cândida Évora, spoke with China Media Group in Praia, the capital of Cape Verde, sharing memories of her son's childhood football journey and her excitement about seeing him again.
