One person killed in train crash north of London, UK

At least one person has died and 89 people have been injured when two East Midlands Railway passenger trains collided in the Bedford area at 5:15 p.m.

British Transport Police declared a major incident, with all railway lines between Luton and Bedford currently blocked.

The East of England Ambulance Service said 11 people have been left with "very serious injuries."
