China is expected to record more than 652 million cross-regional passenger trips during the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday from June 19 to 21, according to the Ministry of Transport.
The daily average is projected to reach about 218 million trips, roughly the same as last year. Railway passenger trips are expected to total nearly 49.45 million, while road travel is projected to account for the largest share, with about 595 million trips. Waterway and civil aviation are expected to handle about 2.76 million and 5.68 million respectively.
