This year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. In our special series "Understanding the CPC," CGTN's Pan Deng spoke to Gyula Thurmer, president of the Hungarian Workers' Party. Thurmer said the CPC draws lasting strength from adapting Marxism to national realities, public backing and remembrance of its roots. He also spoke highly of China's achievements in poverty alleviation, noting that China has successfully resolved a development challenge plaguing many countries.
