China calls for maintaining momentum in China-UK relations

China and Britain should work in the same direction and keep up the momentum of improving and developing bilateral ties, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Tuesday.

Guo made the remarks at a regular press briefing when responding to a question about the resignation of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

The resignation of Starmer is an internal affair of Britain, and China will not comment on it, Guo said.
