China has successfully tested the world's first 6-tonne-class tilt-rotor aircraft capable of both unmanned (drone) and manned operations, the Lanying R6000. It can take off and land like a helicopter and fly like a plane, switching seamlessly between modes. The breakthrough could transform low-altitude transport, emergency rescue and logistics.
