The Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar in Urumqi is one of northwest China's best-known cultural landmarks. Inspired by the historical markets along the ancient Silk Road, it brings together local traditions, crafts, food and performances in one place.

The bazaar is easy to recognize for its Central Asian-style architecture, with domes, towers and detailed decorative patterns. Inside, rows of shops sell handmade crafts, traditional textiles and other local products. Food stalls and restaurants throughout the bazaar serve many of Xinjiang's best-known dishes, giving visitors plenty to explore beyond shopping.

The bazaar also hosts music and dance performances, adding to its lively atmosphere. For many visitors, it is a choice spot to experience local culture, food and everyday life in Xinjiang.
