World Cup debutant Cape Verde has made history by reaching the knockout stage as Group H runner-up after a goalless draw with Saudi Arabia on Friday.

Coach Bubista praised his team's belief and determination, saying the squad wanted to show the world that "nothing is impossible" for the small island nation. Goalkeeper Vozinha, crucial to their success, said the team's quality has exceeded expectations.

The Blue Sharks shocked the football world by holding former world champions Spain to a 0-0 stalemate, then drawing 2-2 with two-time winners Uruguay. Whether they can tear a chunk out of bookie favorites Argentina remains to be seen. Either way, these sharks have already left their mark.
