China National Building Material Group (CNBM) put three world-class high-performance carbon fiber production lines into operation on Sunday, strengthening China's supply of high-end carbon fiber products.

The lines, located at the Lianyungang base of CNBM subsidiary Zhongfu Shenying Carbon Fiber in east China's Jiangsu Province, cover the three major categories of general-purpose, high-strength and high-modulus carbon fiber.

Carbon fiber, known for its light weight, high strength and corrosion resistance, is widely used in fields such as new energy, aerospace, deep-sea, deep-Earth and deep-space applications, sports equipment and 3C electronics.
