China's Yan Ziyi emerged victorious in the women's javelin throw at the Paris stop of the World Athletics Diamond League on Sunday, clinching her third gold medal of the campaign and sealing a coveted spot in the season finals.

The 18-year-old sensation exhibited her potential with a remarkable throw of 67.44 meters, building on the momentum established when she set a new Asian record of 71.74 meters during her season-opening triumph on home turf in Xiamen last month.

Yan's performance in the French capital marked a powerful continuation of her campaign, despite a misstep on her second attempt, which resulted in a foul. She rebounded with a third throw measuring 60.52 meters, before opting to pass on her final three attempts. Ultimately, the young javelinist's consistency was more than enough to dominate the field, easily topping the podium.

Serbia's Adriana Vilagos claimed silver, while Japan's Haruka Kitaguchi rounded out the medal stand with bronze. Yan's victory means she has triumphed in all three of her competitions so far this year, propelling the Ningbo native into September's Diamond League Finals in Brussels.
