A Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy fleet, including the guided-missile destroyer Nanning and the guided-missile frigate Hengyang, will visit Hong Kong from July 2 to 6 for a series of open-house events and cultural exchange activities, the Ministry of National Defense said on Monday.
The activities are intended to give the people of the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions a more direct and in-depth understanding of the progress in China's national defense and military development in the new era, the ministry said.
