Baqaei: 'After a busy day in Baghdad, we have now arrived in Karbala al-Mualla, the abode and resting place of the master of the world's free spirits, Imam Hussein (peace be upon him)—the very one whose message echoes eternally to the conscience of humanity: "If you have no faith and fear not the Hereafter, at least be noble in your worldly life." Karbala is the epicenter of empathy and affection between the Iraqi and Iranian peoples. The dignity of the Iraqi people—from the scholars and tribal sheikhs to all other strata of society—is unparalleled in their welcome of the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him); and soon, with their reception of the pure remains of the martyred leader of the Revolution, they will create magnificent scenes of gratitude and honor-seeking—scenes that will depict the depth of solidarity between the two nations and eternally preserve the noblest expressions of loyalty and brotherhood among them.'
