Karbala is the epicenter of empathy and affection between the Iraqi and Iranian peoples. The dignity of the Iraqi people—from the scholars and tribal sheikhs to all other strata of society—is unparalleled in their welcome of the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him); and soon, with their reception of the pure remains of the martyred leader of the Revolution, they will create magnificent scenes of gratitude and honor-seeking—scenes that will depict the depth of solidarity between the two nations and eternally preserve the noblest expressions of loyalty and brotherhood among them.'
