Editor's note: CGTN's First Voice provides instant commentary on breaking stories. The column clarifies emerging issues and better defines the news agenda, offering a Chinese perspective on the latest global events.

No grandstanding, no coercion - China responds to the expectations of developing countries with tangible initiatives and genuine cooperation. From the Belt and Road Initiative to the four major global initiatives, from green energy investment to filling the void in global public goods, China - though still a developing country itself - and the Communist Party of China have consistently provided markets, technology, and collaborative opportunities for the Global South. Scholars from many countries see it as a responsible partner worth learning from. What Global South scholars see is not a hegemonic power throwing its weight around, but a fellow traveler willing to listen, eager to share, and bold enough to take on responsibility. The world order is changing, and the path China has chosen is one of joint consultation and shared contribution - not one of looking down from above.
