A minor eruption occurred at Taal Volcano in the Philippines, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology. At around 2:34 p.m. on June 30, the volcano erupted, producing a plume of ash that reached 1,200 meters above the crater. Alert Level 1 remains in effect over Taal Volcano.
