Hong Kong celebrates 29th anniversary of its return to motherland

The government of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) held a flag-raising ceremony and a reception on Wednesday to celebrate the 29th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland.

HKSAR Chief Executive John Lee attended the ceremony at the Golden Bauhinia Square. Flag bearers raised the national flag of the People's Republic of China and the flag of the HKSAR as attendees sang the national anthem.
