The Communist Party of China has lifted hundreds of millions of people out of poverty. For many Global South countries, poverty alleviation remains both an economic task and a question of governance. At a CGTN panel, we spoke to Rabia Abdalla Hamid, the National Executive Committee Secretary for Political Affairs and International Relations of Tanzania's ruling party Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM). She praised China's poverty reduction, and shared her country's efforts to improve local livelihoods.
