Five Chinese nationals were injured after the car they were traveling in plunged into a ravine in Kelantan state, Malaysia, police confirmed on Thursday.
According to the Malaysian National News Agency, the accident occurred at about 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday. Five Chinese nationals, who were traveling by car on the east coast state of Kelantan, accidentally entered an unfinished culvert construction site, causing their vehicle to plunge into a ravine.
All the victims sustained injuries and were taken to hospital for further treatment.
The Chinese Embassy in Malaysia said it activated its emergency response mechanism immediately after the accident, coordinating with relevant parties to facilitate the treatment of the injured. The embassy will continue to closely follow the situation and provide necessary assistance to the injured.
