China's Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao and EU Trade Commissioner Maros Sefcovic co-chaired the first meeting of the China-EU trade and investment consultation mechanism, signaling renewed momentum in bilateral economic relations.

The establishment of the mechanism will help steer China-EU trade relations toward becoming more "important," "stable," and "balanced," according to CGTN's Zhu Zhu.
