Every safe journey begins long before a train departs. Before automated inspection systems transformed the job, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) technicians spent hours beneath each train, inspecting wheels and tracks by hand. Now, 100% domestically made robotic inspection devices are doubling efficiency. In fact, the Qinghai-Xizang Railway is among the first networks in China to deploy these track-testing robots. Wang Guan and his travel companion, Lara Netherlands, climb down into the inspection pit to experience the work firsthand and discover the dedication that has kept the Qinghai-Xizang Railway running safely for decades. What did they find?
