Through fields of flowers and highland barley, over rivers and bridges, a bullet train glides into Xigaze, the "Granary of Xizang" and the hometown of highland barley.

Opened in August 2014 as a key link in Xizang's rail network, the 253-km Lhasa-Xigaze railway is a vital part in Xizang's rail network in southwest China. It has reduced travel time between the two cities to 2 hours and 4 minutes, greatly improving mobility for residents and facilitating economic and commercial exchanges along the line.
