The death toll from Venezuela's twin earthquakes has risen to 2,595, Interim President Delcy Rodriguez said at a news conference on Thursday.
More than 12,000 people have been injured, while 189 buildings have been destroyed, Rodriguez said.
Search and rescue operations are still underway, she added.

Rodriguez also said the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank have offered financial assistance and credit to support Venezuela's recovery following the twin earthquakes.
She said Venezuela is establishing a $200 million reconstruction fund in cooperation with the IMF, and the money will go to contractors to reconstruct lost homes.
