El Nino is expected to intensify between July and September, fueling the likelihood of extreme weather conditions, the United Nations' weather and climate agency warned Friday.

The World Meteorological Organization's monthly Global Seasonal Climate Update indicated "a rapid development into a strong El Nino event during July-September."
