After months inside sealed tree hollows, young hornbills have grown strong enough to fly and are ready to leave the nest in "Hornbill Valley" in southwest China's Yunnan Province. Some take their first leap after gentle encouragement from both parents, landing on a nearby branch as the adults quickly fly over to guard them.
