Is US strategic credibility declining? The crisis in Iran proves it

The Iran crisis has exposed more than just a regional conflict. It has raised a deeper question: Can the US still protect its allies? Tsinghua University professor Yan Xuetong tells CGTN's host Xu Qinduo that the Trump administration cannot control the Israeli government, and as long as military aid pours in, they can't stop Israel from expanding its operations. He also points to a shift in perceptions: After the confrontation in Ukraine, many allies still trusted US military capability. But now, with advanced anti-missile systems struggling against drones, "America's strategic credibility has declined dramatically."
