Watch: China launches new satellite group for commercial constellation

China sent a new satellite group into space on Saturday from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in northern Shanxi Province.

The satellites launched at 5:30 p.m. aboard a modified Long March-6 carrier rocket and entered their preset orbit successfully. They will form part of the Spacesail Constellation, a mega network of commercial Chinese satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO).

It was the 655th flight mission for the Long March carrier rocket series, the launch center said.
