Hungarian PM: On behalf of the government, I have submitted to the Parliament a proposal regarding the 17th amendment to the Fundamental Law.The main points of the amendments: 1. 12-year (or three-term) age limit for Members of Parliament.2. Termination of the current President's term of office.3. More independent Constitutional Court. Introduction of a 70-year age limit.4. Stronger judicial self-governance, with the recall of the President of the Kúria and the President of the OBH initiable by judges.5. Establishment of the National Asset Recovery and Asset Protection Office.6. Fewer cardinal laws.7. Restoration of the Constitutional Court's powers.8. Abolition of the Budgetary Council's veto right.9. Strengthening the protection of public funds.10. Renaming of counties back to counties.11. Review of the constitutional regulations on independent regulatory bodies.12. Abolition of the independent Parliamentary Guard. Unified law enforcement administration.
