Since the start of summer 2026, a rare and relentless heatwave has gripped Europe, pushing temperatures past 40 degrees Celsius in multiple regions. The World Health Organization (WHO) warns that extreme heat is significantly increasing the risk of heat-related conditions, particularly heat stroke.

Many still confuse regular heat exhaustion with life-threatening heat stroke. Meanwhile, others underestimate the harm that staying in hot spaces with poor ventilation can do to the human body.
