The Iranian Football Federation has issued a sharp condemnation of the United States' actions as a World Cup co-host, officially labeling the event one of the most catastrophic in the competition's history.

Following the national team's group-stage exit, Iranian officials cited stringent US entry restrictions and unnecessary logistical obstacles that undermined the spirit of the sport.

The federation stated that as a co-host, the US allowed political interference and discriminatory practices to overshadow the tournament.

They concluded that the World Cup should be a festival of football embodying friendship and mutual respect, rather than a platform for racism, unprofessional conduct and political agendas.
