China has sent 80 tonnes of aid to earthquake-hit Venezuela on Sunday on board a chartered flight. It is part of the humanitarian aid pledged to Caracas to support disaster relief and reconstruction. The shipment will arrive in Caracas on Monday. It includes 20 generators, eight water purification units, 200 disinfection machines, 200 sets of solar-powered lighting equipment, more than 1,700 tents and over 6,700 blankets. The aid comes in addition to immediate cash assistance released to Venezuela by the Chinese government. Additional humanitarian relief supplies will be dispatched from Beijing in the coming days.
