Rescue operations are underway after a landslide hit Tanchang County, Gansu Province, July 7, 2026. /CMG

A landslide struck Renzang village in Tanchang County, northwest China's Gansu Province, on Tuesday morning, burying 33 people, China Media Group reported. Seventeen people have been rescued so far.

Local authorities have deployed multiple rescue teams to search for those still trapped and relocate affected residents.
