China's self-built mega-green cargo ship, OOCL Wisdom, set off on its first commercial trip out of Qingdao Port on July 3, 2026. This is the world's largest container ship powered by both methanol and traditional fuel. It loaded thousands of containers and refilled eco-friendly methanol before sailing to Northern Europe. The ship's home-developed power system can switch fuel modes freely to cut carbon pollution while handling heavy ocean shipping tasks.
