A team of volunteers composed of experienced hiking enthusiasts joined rescue efforts in Hengzhou City, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on Wednesday, according to local media.
Each carrying about 15 kilograms of emergency supplies, including medicine and food, as well as satellite phones and radios, they trekked into the affected areas in batches, covering up to 20 kilometers on foot to deliver relief supplies to residents in need.
