Heavy floods brought by Typhoon Maysak hit southern China, killing 39 people and leaving nine missing. Most of the casualties occurred after a local reservoir collapsed in Nanning. Tens of thousands of residents were moved to safe zones, and supplies, power and traffic are gradually being restored. Rescue crews and medical teams continue to work on relief, disinfection and post-flood recovery across affected towns.
