Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah in Beijing on Friday. During the meeting, Xi expressed high appreciation for President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah choosing China as her first state visit outside Africa since taking office. He said China and Namibia share a profound traditional friendship and a common pursuit of development, noting that since establishing diplomatic ties in 1990, both countries have consistently treated each other as equals, supported each other and pursued mutually beneficial cooperation.
