Hot off the success of blockbuster hit revolutionary epic Crossing, Guizhou Province in southwest China has launched a movie-themed travel deal for out-of-province visitors.

Simply present your ticket stub for the film, and you'll get free admission to all state-run A-level attractions across Guizhou – including Mount Fanjing, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. Travelers also receive tourism vouchers worth 500 yuan (roughly $74), redeemable for hotels, meals, shopping and local transport.

Created to mark the 90th anniversary of the Red Army Long March victory, most scenes of "Crossing" were filmed on location in Guizhou. The movie vividly portrays the legendary Four Crossings of the Chishui River in 1935, one of the Long March's most renowned milestones. It hit cinemas nationwide in China on June 26, and Guizhou rolled out its matching travel perks the very same day.

These convenient, easy-to-claim offers seem to have ignited massive travel interest in Guizhou. Many tourists are extending their trips to explore the province's diverse landscapes and unique local traditions.

Dubbed the "ticket stub economy," this campaign has pushed summer visitor numbers at Mount Fanjing steadily higher. Waiving entry fees slashes travel expenses for tourists while boosting on-site secondary spending on food, souvenirs and other scenic services.
