Known locally as the "little Huangguoshu" after China's most famous waterfall, Nanshan Waterfall is a thunderous contrast to the quiet ink-wash aesthetics of the nearby water towns.

Fed by the peaks of Fuliang County, the cascade flows across a total drop of 220 meters. It forms a dramatic sequence of four interconnected falls: Nanshan, Shihua, Feilong and Piaojin. The pristine mountain torrents plunge down a 70-meter-wide cliff, cloaking the ancient bamboo valley in a perpetual, cooling mist.
