Iranian Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: '"The foreign ministers of Iran and Oman held talks in Muscat on Saturday with the aim of coordinating between the two coastal countries bordering the Strait of Hormuz regarding the arrangements for managing traffic and shipping in this strait. During these discussions, which were attended by legal and technical delegations from both countries, discussions and exchanges of views took place regarding ensuring the security and safety of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, while respecting the sovereign rights of the two coastal countries and applicable international law, as well as taking into account the provisions of Article 5 of the Islamabad memorandum of understanding.'
